Fall 23 Classwork

Honestly, this was my least favorite project we have created so far. I think that's because I still don't understand how everything works, which is quite unfortunate. I started this project by obtaining all of my images from stock-free websites. I already knew I wanted to do some sort of "under-the-sea" theme from previous sketches. Once I had everything set, I started creating my frames. My mistake was that I did not know how to group frames and create 10 frames at the click of a button. So, all my frames are changed by hand... and it's 150 frames. It took me way too long. The second issue with my animation is that I can not get it to download correctly, and so all I could get are these stills. So unfortunately, as of right now, the world will be deprived of my beautiful work. However, at the end of the day, I'm still proud of my project and the scene I created.

In class, we were tasked with using Photoshop to turn a photo into black and white and then color portions of it using the Adobe Color Wheel. The photo must visually depict a sense of connection to loved ones or the world around you. And so, I chose my favorite picture of my dog Bailey and me. The first step I took to make the image black and white was to edit the grayscale of the image in Photoshop. From there, I inserted my color wheel of choice using the Adobe Color Wheel software, after playing around with it for a bit I chose the square, double split complementary, and triad color rules. Finally, I selected, masked, and colored in bits of Bailey and I. I knew I didn't want to color in the background because I wanted my dog and me to stand out on the page.

For this project, we were tasked with Photoshopping ourselves into a scene from a movie or TV show. I immediately knew I wanted to do something that would be kind of funny. So I decided to become a businessman on Wall Street and Photoshop myself into a scene from "The Wolf of Wall Street". I completed this by placing the image of myself on top of the original movie scene image. Then, I created a mask of myself and cut out everything but my body from the image of myself. Finally, I adjusted some of the lighting edits to make it look as seamless as possible.
