Learn a bit more about me!
My swim life...
Hi! First and foremost, the most crucial aspect to know about me and my life is that I am like a fish in water. Swimming has been a part of me since I was six years old, and even before that, I was splashing around in pools and at the beach as soon as I could walk. The water is where I feel most at home, where I can truly relax and be myself. Whether I am swimming laps in the pool or catching some waves at the beach, the water has always been my happy place. It’s not just about the physical aspect—there is a peace and clarity that comes with being immersed, a kind of freedom that I can not quite find anywhere else. If I am not in the water, I am definitely staying active outdoors.

I have learned that daily movement is an essential part of my routine. The physical activity helps me manage stress, stay organized, and keep a clear mind in the face of any challenges that come my way. It’s amazing how something as simple as a morning run or an afternoon of playing spikeball can reset my energy and help me approach life with a positive attitude.

I believe my lifelong love for swimming and sports drives my passion to work in the sport enterprise in the future. I have always been drawn to the world of sports, especially when it comes to inspiring younger generations to get involved and discover their own love for athletics. There’s something powerful about the way sports bring people together, and I’m passionate about sharing athletes' stories and experiences with others.

My personality...
To know me is to know I am one outgoing, organized, sarcastic, and infectiously positive girl. Throughout my swimming career, I had the nickname "Little Miss Sunshine" because of my attitude on the pool deck. I would (and oftentimes still do) skip around on deck, talking to everyone I see, excited to get into the pool. Especially if there is music playing, I am dancing.

Over time, my personality on the pool deck has translated into my day-to-day life. I strongly believe that the way one treats others and themselves reflects who they are and how they feel about themselves. Hence, while every day presents a different sort of challenges and opportunities, I always try to approach the day with an optimistic mindset, trusting that nothing will be thrown my way that I can not handle.
My brands...
As I have progressed through my communication and sport management courses at The University of Tampa, I have grown a strong appreciation for and interest in effective marketing. I love challenging myself to look at a commercial, Instagram ad, or billboard and think, "Who was this made for?" More specifically for sports organizations and teams.
Some of my favorite brands that I use or support daily include...
- The Buffalo Bills: I was born into Bills Mafia, as I have extended family in Buffalo, NY. Not only do they have an extremely entertaining social media presence, but it perfectly encapsulates the family-fandom feel. Plus, how can you not love Josh Allen? GO BILLS!
- NIKE: I was very impressed and empowered by their "You Can't Win. So Win." Super Bowl advertisement. They market a "feeling" very well, and I love seeing their involvement in female sports.
- LuluLemon: I am definitely a bit biased towards this brand as I worked for them for around two years. However, I love supporting this company because of its focus on finding individual wellness. LuluLemon understands that not everyone practices the same activities to be well, so they have made several different products with different functions to accommodate different needs. While working there, I loved nothing more than meeting a guest and helping them find a product that works in function, form, and style.
